Resident DJ’s Light up DJ Mag Top 100 List
On Friday October 18, Armand Van Helden rocked Light Nightclub with his unique style of hip-hop, 80’s pop, funk, reggae, and house blends. Van Helden is at his best on stage, always getting the crowd involved and showing off his gritty New York attitude. Dropping hits left and right, Van Helden had the crowd on its feet all night with songs like “The Funk Phenomena” and “The Boogie Monster”. As soon as his number one single, “You Don’t Know Me”, hit the speakers, the place erupted with champagne showers and visual effects that would give the Fourth Of July a run for its money. Without a doubt, Light Nightclub gave club-goers a night to remember with an incredible performance by Armand Van Helden

The British duo played hits from their #1 debut album Settle, and had the crowd grooving to songs like “Latch”, “F for You”, and “White Noise”. Disclosure’s infectious style not only forces you on your feet, but has you singing their catchy lyrics as loud as possible, no matter how terrible your voice is. It’s especially hard to resist when there is a giant illuminated face on stage singing along with you. Mixing Light’s Cirque du Soleil atmosphere along with Disclosure’s audio/visual experience was definitely the recipe for an unforgettable night. FULL DISCLOSURE: GO SEE THEM PERFORM ASAP. And yes, pun intended.
